Christmas Cookie Canisters

Need another excuse to eat those Pringles? Once you’ve finished licking the salt off your fingers, you can turn the canister into a sweet cookie container for a loved one.

What you need

  • Empty Pringles canister and lid
  • Christmas wrapping paper
  • Double-sided tape
  • Scissors
  • Ribbon
  • Cookies

What to do

  1. Clean out the empty canister with a damp cloth.
  2. Cut your wrapping paper to fit around the canister (25.5cm wide x 24cm tall).
  3. Wrap the paper around the canister and use double-sided tape to attach.
  4. Use your ribbon to tie a bow around the can.
  5. Fill with the cookies of your choice (Christmas-themed shortbread is a good option!).

Pressed Flower Coasters

Beautiful and practical, these rustic timber and dried flower coasters are perfect for the coffee lover in your life. The best part? You don’t need a green thumb to get crafty with these cute coasters.

What you need

  • Round timber slices (cut and sand a dead branch from your backyard or buy some from your local craft store)
  • Dried flowers (grab some from a craft store)
  • Wax paper
  • Epoxy resin
  • Twine to wrap

What to do

  1. Space your timber slices apart on wax paper.
  2. Place your flowers on the wood slices how you’d like them.
  3. Prepare your resin and pour over your coasters.
  4. Keep an eye on resin build-up and move your coasters to a fresh sheet of wax paper to avoid sticking.
  5. Leave to dry for a couple of days.
  6. Stack in fours and tie together with twine to add to the rustic feel.
